Break

Hope everyone had a good holiday. Although I have woken up at 12 or 1 everyday, I have been busily working on things. Most notably for me is the revival of my portfolio site. I’ll be giving updates on that as I feel necessary. A more complete update about what went down over this break will be posted either later today or tomorrow. Until then, take it easy fellas!

The Edge of a Cliff – The Streets

Pretty much sums up how I’ve been feeling the last few weeks or so. Really inspirational for me. Hope you enjoy it.

For billions of years since the outset of time
Every single one of your ancestors has survived
Every single person on your mum and dad’s side
Successfully looked after and passed on to you life.
What are the chances of that, like?
It comes to me once in a while
And everywhere I tell folk it gets the best smile.

Take it easy,
Chris

A few weeks ago I copped a used bamboo tablet to see what all the hype was about. It finally came in this weekend and I have been experimenting with it. Now, I’m not going to post anything I’ve done with it just yet because honestly, I would be embarrassed. It will take some getting use to, but in a few months I think it will be a powerful tool in my arsenal.

In other pick up news, I bought these two bracelets on sale. Pretty dope buys for both under 8 bucks a piece!

Bittersweet Nothings, Overdose on Placebo.

If you frequent any of the many streetwear / fashion related blogs then this is probably old news to you, but Asaad’s new album entitled “Flowers” (in association with Uristocrat) is unbelievable. In my opinion, everything is on point, from the beats to the lyrical genius that is embedded within each and every track. I have no problem bumping the tape in the early mornings as “wake up music” or while I chill in my room in the afternoon. These tunes are powerful and have meaning unlike many of the new artists that I see each and every day just trying to make a buck or two or become the next Soulja Boy. (Why would you go and aspire to become that? WHY? No hate to SB but just no..)

I encourage each and every one of you that is reading this right now to click the Download button and have a listen for yourself. For those of you that already have it, queue up ‘Tar Beach’ and let it go!
